Why is it a good idea to share someone's post in your story? You can share a funny/important video with your followers, add content with little effort (Read other ways to do this), or simply to tell your audience that you posted a new photo and they should check it out. Note that you can only share posts from public accounts. If you don't want your posts shared on Instagram Stories by other people you can make your profile private or change your settings.

To share someone's post in your story, follow these steps:

1. Go to the post you want to share
2. Click on the airplane icon below the post
3. Tap Add post to your story
